Welcome Announcement: Introducing Lou Frank, Senior Project Manager
We are thrilled to welcome Lou Frank to the SRSI team as our new Senior Project Manager. With an impressive background in the Material Handling (MH) industry, Lou brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization. Let’s get to know him a little better!
Lou hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he has spent the majority of his life. He did have the opportunity to venture out for four years while working for Honda of America in Anna, Ohio. Lou holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the prestigious University of Cincinnati, where he honed his skills and developed a passion for the field.
His journey in the MH industry began during his time at the University of Cincinnati through the Engineering Co-Operative Learning Program. This program allowed him to gain practical experience in his field of study, and it was during this time that Lou got introduced to the industry. Working with a Systems Integrator called Advanced Handling Systems, he became captivated by the intricacies and challenges of the work.
Over the course of his 25-year career, Lou has held various positions such as Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Sales Engineer for both Systems Integrators and Conveyor Manufacturers. Notably, he spent 14 years with Intelligrated, a conveyor manufacturer, where he supported the Integrator Group and Systems Engineering Groups. Lou’s strengths lie in problem-solving and resolving issues efficiently, and he has also gained valuable Quality Engineering experience during his tenure at Honda and Tier 1 supplier, ABS Brake supplier.
Joining SRSI, Lou has set his sights on both short- and long-term goals. In the short term, he aims to contribute to a strong SRSI team that consistently delivers exceptional results, leading to highly satisfied customers who return to SRSI for future projects. Looking ahead, his long-term aspiration is to establish SRSI as the premier Systems Integrator in the United States.
When asked about his perspective on the MH industry today, Lou believes that it is rapidly advancing towards increased automation, emulating the efficient distribution centers seen in Europe. Customers are increasingly focused on implementing robotic automation solutions, and Lou is excited to be a part of this transformative journey.
At SRSI, Lou is most excited about collaborating with customers to implement tailor-made solutions that meet their unique material handling needs. He envisions SRSI as the go-to supplier for all their requirements, fostering lasting partnerships. Additionally, he eagerly anticipates the successful implementation of the next generation of RAFT ASRS for our valued customers.
Outside of work, Lou is an avid sports fan and dedicates his spare time to high school football and basketball officiating. He also enjoys bonding with friends and family over rounds of golf and fishing adventures.
