Western Colorado University, a small but unique public institution resting in the Gunnison Valley of Western Colorado has now equipped SRSI with two team members. We are happy to announce Megan Teel, originally from Colorado Springs, CO, as our first Sales intern! Megan is currently studying Business Administration with emphases in Finance and Marketing as well as an Economics minor in her last semester at Western. After graduating in May 2021, Megan looks forward to gaining experience across many industries, connecting with business professionals, and seeking out new opportunities to kickstart her career and professional future.
Megan’s interest in studying business, marketing, finance, and economics stemmed from the first Economics course she took her freshman year. “I was really intrigued by how the money market works and learned to love the tenacity, ambition, and competitive nature behind the business world,” she states. The fast-paced nature of business also seems to align well with Megan. She manages a full-time student class schedule as well as multiple on-campus parttime jobs and leads business-oriented clubs and initiatives.
During her time with SRSI, Megan will help grow our market presence so we can better serve our customers. She is eager to become an integral part of the way we make a difference in warehouse design and projects and looks forward to learning about the Material Handling Industry and growing her professional network.
With the presence of COVID-19 this year, many people have acquired new hobbies, activities, and norms while doing their best to stay healthy and safe. Megan gained a new hobby, woodworking, during her spare time and built some creative geometrics art as well as furniture pieces! She also had some extra time for additional studies and read many books. Miss Teel is excited to join SRSI for the semester and is excited to learn more about our software solutions. She mentions, “the physical aspect of warehouse design is a bit easier for me to understand, but there’s so much knowledge to gain behind software.” We look forward to having her make a difference and we cannot wait for you to connect with her!
