Welcoming another addition to our Customer Success team is Automation Service Technician, William Escobar. Will started with the team in mid-December and has hit the ground running ever since. Originally from New Jersey, he now resides lakeside in the mountains of northeast Pennsylvania with his family. Will attended HoHoKus School of Trade, where he learned structural welding and fabrication while also taking an introduction to manufacturing in machines.
His journey to automation began 15 years ago as a structural welder. During his time at his previous company, he became an automation service technician. A notable project he worked on while there was a semi-automated car lift and slide system.
Just like his team, Will’s specialty is building and fixing. “Putting things together, taking them apart, and rebuilding keeps me calm,” says Will. In starting with SRSI, he looks forward to sinking his roots in with the team while growing his repertoire.
From his years of experience, Will knows that space is a sweet spot in the industry. “Space is an issue across the board and in all topics of life and is not going anywhere. It will continue to grow whether it be parking, storage, or housing. The advances in this industry with automation will push it full speed and I want to be here as it does,” mentions Will.
Joining the team has been full of excitement for him. Will looks forward to working with new machinery he hasn’t encountered before- the shrink wrapper being a major highlight.
All work aside, Will enjoys spending time with his kids playing video games, hiking in the great outdoors, and building remote-controlled cars. In the past two years, he’s built his own cars from scratch via his Flashborg 3D printer. His favorite quote to live by is “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them,” Albert Einstein.
