Adam Pohl
SRSI is delighted to welcome our newest team member, Adam Pohl, in the role of CAD Specialist. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Adam is set to elevate our CAD department and play a pivotal role in creating efficient solutions for our clients.
Getting to Know Adam:
Adam hails from the picturesque state of Michigan, where he was born and raised. His educational journey took shape early on as he took Architectural CAD and Mechanical CAD classes at the vocational center during high school. He further honed his skills by completing his AAS in CAD at Baker College of Muskegon in 2010. A Path into the MH Industry:
Adam’s introduction to the Material Handling (MH) industry began during his internship and first job after college at an engineering consulting company. The job presented him with a wide variety of work, and he found that material handling and robotics became a significant part of his responsibilities.
Adam’s CAD Expertise:
As a CAD Specialist, Adam’s niche revolves around automation and robotics. His expertise encompasses various areas, including end-of-arm tooling, jigs and fixtures, 3D printing, drafting, and design.
Short- and Long-Term Goals at SRSI:
In the short term, Adam is dedicated to mastering the Autodesk suite of products and becoming a certified user in AutoCAD and Inventor. He aims to familiarize himself with SRSI’s capabilities and vendors, creating a library of commonly used components within the company. Transitioning 2D drawings into 3D and developing templates for CAD are also on his agenda.
Looking ahead, Adam aspires to become the resident expert in all things CAD-related. He envisions his role expanding to assist in onboarding engineers and resolving any CAD-related issues that may arise.
Adam’s Vision of the MH Industry:
Adam’s insights into the Material Handling industry are aligned with the industry’s ongoing evolution. He believes that automation will continue to enhance the sector, with the eventual transformation of more fulfillment and distribution centers into “lights out” operations. Advancements in humanoid robots, collaborative robots, machine learning, and automation will become more sophisticated and integrated.

What excites Adam the most about joining SRSI is the opportunity to make our clients more efficient. He looks forward to learning extensively about the products the company integrates and the services it offers, ensuring that he can contribute to improving our client’s experiences.
Adam Beyond the Office:
Outside of work, Adam’s interests span a wide range of activities. He enjoys traveling, immersing himself in music festivals, playing disc golf, DJing, and even making his hot sauce.
