SRSI is happy to announce the onboarding of Jeremy Young, the newest WMS Specialist on the Software Team. Coming to us from California, Jeremy’s story inspires and suggests the great success and growth he will bring to SRSI and the material handling industry.
Jeremy worked his way up from the very beginning of his career and gained experience in all aspects of operations: shipping, picking, receiving, inventory control and eventually overseeing over 300 employees where he managed 2M Sq. Ft. of distribution space. This is where his passion for solving problems and operations was instilled. Leading various aspects of operations, Jeremy’s experience provided him with the tools to manage himself and others to the best of his ability.
This new opportunity with SRSI will allow Jeremy to utilize the skills he has built to contribute to a team, and he is eager to capitalize on that. When commenting on the material handling industry, he has a very motivated perspective.
“People are always going to buy goods; this will never stop. Technology continues to excel, helping operations’ meet throughput goals. Partnering with these teams to help them achieve their goals is very exciting.”
Jeremy adds, “My biggest contribution is that I have been on the other end. I have been a facility manager who knows what they want from an automation aspect and operations flow. I can be a liaison between the customer operations and SRSI and help each side understand why certain things are done a specific way.” His goal within the next few years consists of getting to know his position and independently taking on a project from start to finish. Later, he will handle multiple projects and provide valuable customer support far after projects are deployed. Jeremy recognizes, like the rest of the SRSI team, how crucial it is to build strong relationships with customers to cultivate long lasting partnerships and success.
When he’s not working, Jeremy enjoys golfing and mountain biking, as well as dabbling in some incredible side-gigs. For example, he recently spent some time building one of the first drive-through car washes in South America, near Lima, Peru with his close friend.
Jeremy encourages his teams to be great, and he is known for the quote, ‘Be legendary. Be the best at what you do.’ He reminds himself and his team of this as he goes into any job. SRSI is eager to work with Jeremy in bringing the absolute best experience to our customers, and we are happy to welcome him to the team!
